Our team in Moog Space and Defense Groupis looking for a Senior Spacecraft
Power System Engineerto join our Space Vehicles team in Arvada, CO. For

Avionics, Wiring and Power Engineering Manager and will have a 9/80 hybrid
work schedule.
To be considered for the Senior Spacecraft Power System Engineer role,
here's what you'll need to bring with you:
7+ years space systems experience
3+ years of applicable spacecraft power systems engineering experience
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and test for spacecraft and space systems
Knowledge of space system grounding architectures and design principles
Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools such as PSpice or
similar
Technical team leadership experience
Excellent verbal and presentation skills
As a Senior Spacecraft Power System Engineer, you will:
Understand the spacecraft bus and electrical power subsystem as a whole.
Perform trade studies to optimize the electrical power system based on
technical compliance/cost/schedule/mass or other key parameters.
Exercise detailed technical knowledge of various electrical power equipment
including power electronics, spacecraft batteries, solar arrays,
spacecraft harnessing, and fault management/protection.
Perform and document power system analysis, such as power budgets, solar
array sizing, component derating, and power quality/voltage drop analysis.
Develop requirements for power systems components.
Interface with all other spacecraft subsystems to define the power
requirements for all spacecraft and payload power subsystems and components.
Develop and manage functional block diagrams, bus electrical schematics,
I/O and power switching assignments, and cable harness routing and layout.
Support overall requirements definition and flow down and verification and
validation activities related to the power subsystem on programs.
Interface with vendors of power electronics, batteries, solar arrays,
and other hardware suppliers to support procurements and provide technical
oversight of subcontractors.
Prepare and present technical packages for design reviews and during technical
presentations both internal and to program customers.
Develop ground support equipment, in concert with other disciplines, for
performing power system testing.
Support manufacture, integration, and test of power system.
Prepare proposal costing and technical assessments.

Salary Range:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $95,326 - $131,685 per year.
