Opening for an Assistant Automotive Technician to work for a locally
owned business in Ashland. Excellent entry-level opportunity for a
self-motivated individual looking to start their career in automotive
services! Great daytime schedule with flexible options for part-time or
full-time work. 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday; \$14.50-\$16.00/hr.
depending on knowledge and experience.\

The Assistant Automotive Technician will perform a variety of supportive
roles for the garage while receiving practical, on-the-job training in
automotive maintenance and repair. Employee will handle simple
maintenance and repair jobs, assist senior staff members with advanced
projects, provide customer service support, and keep work areas clean
and organized.\
\
Responsibilities:\
- Greet customers and keep accurate records of contact information,
vehicle information, and service records.
- Inspect and run diagnostics on engines, electrical, and mechanical
systems.
- Ensure safe operating condition of brakes, airbags and steering
systems.
- Perform routine maintenance work, such as tire rotations and/or
replacements, oil changes, and fluid replacements.
- Assist auto technicians and mechanics with more advanced/complex
repair projects.
- Verify quality of completed work with site supervisor before
returning customer vehicles.
- Keep job-site clean and organized; load/unload materials and
supplies, sweep floors, and remove trash and debris for disposal.
- Ensure that all tools are properly cleaned and stored in designated
areas.
- Follow all safety requirements as directed. Report incidents and
potential hazards to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Complete other tasks as directed by site supervisor.

Job Requirements:\
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. Additional
education or advanced training in automotive maintenance and/or
mechanical repair services strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire
changes, etc.) and proficient understanding of automotive systems
and repairs.
- Valid drivers license and good driving record.
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Good communication skills; previous customer service experience
helpful.
- Drive to learn new skills and improve on existing abilities.

Schedule: Full-time/Days; 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Part-time opportunities available within business hours.\
Pay: \$14.50-\$16.00/hr.\
