GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision of the Eligibility Referral Supervisor-WD, the Employment Service Representative is responsible for managing the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program, processing job orders and creating flyers for open positions, managing social media accounts, creating virtual/in-person seminar content and virtual/in-person career fairs with the goal of assisting clients in their search of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); possession of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; six (6) months or more of related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:  For purposes of 42 USC 12101:

Processes youth opportunities intakes and redetermination applications; processes adult/dislocated worker eligibility; coordinates, finds, and assists with maintenance of client job searches; assists clients with computer usage; administers TABE testing; serves as a fill in receptionist during lunch coverage. Conducts workshops to assist clients in determining their employable skills, job retention abilities, and utilization of OhioMeansJobs accounts; posts local job openings onto OhioMeansJobs website and other partnering agencies; vets resumes and talent; represents the County and partnering employment search services at public job fairs. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Performs other related duties as necessary.
