Main responsibilities and activities

In the Medical Affairs department we are looking for a brilliant profile reporting to the Italian Cluster Medical Sr. Director with the following responsibilities and activities:

Main Responsibilities:

In line with Teva Italia strategy, for the therapeutics Area and products of responsibility, MSL will be responsible for:

  • Clinical and medical-scientific education for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stakeholders mapping and management (i.e.KOLs).

  • Support to clinical and post-marketing Teva sponsored studies (CSS), Investigator sponsored (ISS) and Collaborative research (CRS) studies.

  • Support to marketing and commercial activities.

  • Information Management / Insights.

  • Ensure medical/legal excellence and compliance.

  • Ensure that local Medical Affairs activities follow National and Local regulations.

  • Represent Company Medical department in the territory, participating to local, regional, National and International congress and producing qualitative reports regarding the more relevant communications.

Main Activities:

  • Plans, supervises, implements, coordinates and delivers clinical education programs to all types of stakeholders: KOLs, general and junior physicians, hospital pharmacists, nurses, internal Teva stakeholders.

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with KOLs / OLs, healthcare decision makers and influencers.

  • Provides and discusses scientific information and data to healthcare professionals to ensure quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information on new treatment options including Teva Innovative portfolio/pipeline and the value of generics products and the relevant generic therapeutic areas.

  • Coordinates, design of activities for regional / local scientific societies and KOL / OL management programs based on the national plan.

  • Answers to medical enquires and offers scientific support in the relations with committees for drug evaluation and other bodies requiring scientific inputs.

  • Identify new opportunities and support the implementation and follow up of Teva and Investigators Sponsored studies (ISS) and Collaborative Research studies (CRS).

  • Supports the investigational sites, as needed, as part of a cross-functional team with Medical Affairs and others as appropriate.

  • At local/regional levels supports organization and implementation/execution of Advisory boards/Expert meetings aligned with the objectives of Medical and Market Access Plans.

  • Supports Medical Affairs in interacting with national and local scientific societies.

  • Works in synergy and coordination with marketing, commercial and sales departments on different activities and projects.

  • Actively participates to the local (country or district level) training sessions (both for new employees and refreshment / up-dating courses).

  • Identifies and recommends new training needs in line with changes and trends.

  • Attendance to medical scientific congresses and conventions (Local, National, International).

Requirements

Main Requirement:

Based in Lombardia

Background:

  • Degree in Medicine, PharmD, Medical / Pharmaceutical Biotecnology or a similar Healthcare degree

  • At least 5 years of experience as MSL

  • Desirable prior work experience as MSL or in Medical departments within the pharmaceutical industry – specialty is preferred

  • Knowledge of the research process and statistical analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs

  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures relevant to the pharmaceutical industry

  • Fluent English and Italian
