Kelly Engineering is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to join our client’s team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data centers, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and textile industries.

Role and responsibilities

  • Drive company acceptance on the specification for consulting engineers nationally through sales calls, presentations, and workshops both jointly with manufacturer representatives and sales staff and individually.

  • Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and sales staff to conduct joint calls and presentations to prospective clients.

  • Provide technical support to customers by answering incoming inquiries related to busduct products and applications.

  • Develop conceptual designs and implementation plans for busduct projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and project timelines.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to showcase the features and benefits of company busduct solutions.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to enhance sales strategies and product knowledge.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to address technical challenges, customize solutions, and ensure smooth project execution.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, case studies, and technical documentation to support sales efforts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • 7-10 years experience in technical sales, application engineering, or a similar role within the electrical industry, preferably with busway or other power distribution products.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial applications.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client satisfaction.

Travel

Approximately 50% for customer visits, trade shows, and training sessions
