Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP Assistant Inprotech Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager for Inprotech, the firm's IPPMS (Intellectual Property Management Systems) to join our Intellectual Property and Technology team. This position will report to and work directly with the IPandT Practice's IPPMS Manager. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to assessment of the IP Group's docketing needs, assisting with planning, development, and maintenance of Inprotech' s events and entries, workflows, screen designer functionalities, name records, case data comparison tools, document generation tool, and any other system tools or functionalities that are needed. The role also includes assisting with coordinating data import and export, assisting with development of firm and client training materials, assisting with review, testing and implementation of law updates, and assisting with the review, testing, and implementation of any other system application upgrade or functional change. Finally, the role also includes assisting with training of new Inprotech users.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of IP support experience in a law firm environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Inprotech.
  • Thorough understanding of prosecution procedures domestic/international patent, design, trademark, contentious (opposition, cancellation proceedings) and post grant matters.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making and project management skills.
  • Strong focus on client service and responsiveness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal personnel either orally or in written form.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands and work under tight deadlines.
  • Interactive skillsets to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other firm departments and firm clients.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in maintaining contact with clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Self-starter to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate with team members across the firm.
