Description
Jr. Communications Specialist (Onsite Contract) - Atlanta, GA
Are you a wordsmith with a knack for crafting engaging content? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy supporting diverse communication efforts? If so, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
Draft and edit press releases, social media content, website copy, and other communication materials in a clear, concise, and engaging style.
Assist with media relations activities, such as monitoring media coverage and researching potential media contacts.
Develop and maintain content calendars for various communication channels (e.g., website, social media).
Support internal communication initiatives, such as creating employee newsletters or managing internal communication platforms.
Conduct research and gather information to support the creation of communication materials.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications.
Proactively identify and recommend communication strategies to achieve marketing and/or business goals.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.
Work collaboratively with internal teams (marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in a communications or marketing role (or equivalent internship experience).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with content management systems (CMS) a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
