Newell Brands Compensation Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for analyzing information related to employee compensation for all Newell Brands global locations. The Compensation Analyst assists in the design, administration, and communication of compensation programs, including base pay, short & long-term incentive pay, sales incentive compensation, job evaluations, compensation surveys, and new compensation and benefits programs. The ideal candidate consistently demonstrates a proactive drive for results with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are critical.

Job Description:

  • Consults HR teams (i.e. Business Partners, Talent Acquisition) on compensation programs and policies. Communicates guidelines and provides suggestions for process improvement where appropriate. Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with compensation policy and philosophy.

  • Completes compensation survey data for different providers and conducts market analysis of individual jobs for Business Units and Functions across regions.

  • Coordinates and monitors merit increase submissions to ensure compliance with guidelines.

  • Coordinates billing and assists HRBPs with questions related to the Global Service Award program

  • Assembles and maintains data for annual incentive compensation (bonus) payout, and works with team to finalize and summarize business unit recommendations.

  • Maintains and creates the retention awards and ensures timely payout globally.

  • Demonstrates influence through building relationships and collecting feedback from all team members. Applies thoughtful and creative solutions to key problems.

  • Working with team leaders, identifies opportunities for aligning jobs, policies & programs in support of project management efforts for simplifying areas such as global recognition and wellness, programs.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years work experience, plus related bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience

  • HR experience in a global company with proven success in analyzing large amounts of data, presenting process improvement strategies and working with teams to collectively support business objectives

  • Strategic agility, flexibility and sense of urgency in all work

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Strong system and process orientation. Experience researching complex data as it relates to HRIS and use of reward systems in large organizations is a plus.

  • Must have excellent oral and written presentation skills, including presentations to groups

  • The successful candidate must be hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Microsoft SharePoint and/or HCM/SAP reporting experience is a plus.
