Description:
This gas technician will be performing landfill methane gas monitoring in the wellfield and pump maintenance. Will be provided gas meters, PPE, etc. and supporting a landfill site in Winder primarily. May travel and support 2 other landfills around Atlanta as required to cover other technicians on vacation.
A typical day looks like:
Primary job is walking the wellfield checking liquid levels, pulling pumps, tuning wells with a gas meters, maintaining the flare etc.
Pulling and cleaning pumps, running lines, and light maintenance as needed
Will be on site at a landfill watching project work and assisting as needed. Will need to be able to walk up and down a landfill site and work outside in the elements. Inspecting and performing preventative maintenance on various HDPE pipe systems as needed.

1+ years of landfill gas experience
Experience with reading/tuning wells
Experience with gas meters (Envision or GEM) is a plus
Construction or mechanical background
