As a Key Account Manager at Coregistics, you will play a vital role in generating new business opportunities and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads in target industries. Your goal will be to generate high-quality leads that will contribute to the overall growth and success of our company.

Requirements

  • Lead Generation:

  • Conduct extensive market research to identify potential customers and industries that align with our co-packing services.

  • Utilize various tools and resources to identify and gather contact information of key decision-makers and stakeholders.

  • Cold call, email, and network to initiate contact with potential leads and create opportunities for business development.

  • Maintain a consistent flow of new leads and prospects to ensure a healthy sales pipeline.

  1. Qualification and Opportunity Assessment:
  • Engage with leads to understand their specific needs, challenges, and requirements.

  • Conduct thorough qualification and needs analysis to determine if leads are a good fit for our co-packing services.

  • Assess potential opportunities by evaluating the prospect’s budget, timeline and decision-making process.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to prioritize and allocate resources effectively based on the potential value of each lead.

  1. Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Collaborate closely with Sr. VP of Strategy & Relationships and VP of Business Development and the Executive Team to ensure alignment of efforts and maximize conversion rates.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead generation activities and opportunities in the CRM system.

  • Generate reports on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and conversion rates to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide routine reports to Executive Team

  • Participate in regular sales meetings to share insights, challenges, and strategies for enhancing lead generation efforts.

  • Support business development team by managing CRM entries and updates.

  • Develop playbooks for major target companies, to include org charts, supply chain maps, current suppliers, RFP events, product lists, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • 2-3+ years experience in a sales or business development role.

  • MUST HAVE a background in one of the following: Packaging, Contract Manufacturing/External Manufacturing, Repack, 3PL, or CPG selling experience

  • Preferred Location of candidate: Atlanta, Chicago, or NJ/NY metropolitan areas. Will consider candidates outside of those areas if they are located near a major airport.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse individuals.

  • Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities tin influence potential customers and drive lead conversion.

  • Solid understanding of sales and lead generation techniques, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation targets.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple leads simultaneously.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with co-packing and packaging industry trends, practices, and challenges.

  • Understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion.

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain logistics and its relationship to co-packing services.
