Position Summary
Morehouse Healthcare ( MHC ) with the Department of Psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ) who has experience providing evidence based counseling and behavioral health assessment services to patients within a clinical setting. This individual will work with a multi-disciplinary team to improve patient and community health using an integrated care model within a patient-centered medical home setting and a student health center setting.
The LCSW will provide assessment, treatment, and counseling to a broad range of individuals. The candidate must be able to collaborate with others, both internally and with external partners including other Institutions of Higher Education. Treatment provided must be evidence based and in accordance with best practices and the individual’s scope of practice with adherence to strong professional ethics and boundaries. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must quality for a faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited college or university
Three (3) or more years of experience delivering behavioral health care
Current, active, and unrestricted Clinical Social Work licensure in Georgia
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited college or university

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
Provide full scope of clinical services including patient screening and assessment with the development of a measurable time limited treatment plan. Interventions should be consistent with an integrated behavioral health model; services will also include case management and case coordination, participation in psychoeducational and support groups and coordination of referrals and/or access to community resources when indicated.
Serve as a resource for patients and families and will facilitate communication between the patient and other healthcare team members. Effective collaboration with community resources to formulate and deliver a comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment plan is expected to ensure that treatment goals are met and barriers to care are identified and addressed
Participate in a team management approach to patient care/treatment; works with other team members to develop and implement behavioral health plan
Maintain quality care and participate in peer review, policy development, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Maintain patient charts and clinical EMR documentation in timely manner as required.
Participate in continuing education and professional development
Maintain professional standards and licensure
Obtain and maintain membership in professional organizations
May perform other related duties as assigned including work with trainees

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
