Overview
Chick-fil-A is looking for a Senior Network Engineering Lead - Cloud Transformation to expand and migrate our business processes and applications from an on-prem Data Center environment to sustainable cloud environments. This newly created role is part of the Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) Infrastructure and Network team who is responsible for implementing and maintaining connectivity to Chick-fil-A Restaurants and Support Center locations supporting critical business areas. In this role you will utilize your networking expertise to design, build, deliver, and maintain a highly reliable, scalable, and complex cloud network infrastructure. You will also influence and contribute to strategic planning efforts as we continuously improve the delivery of networking services supporting our rapidly growing business. You will partner with DTT teams and other internal departments to help create solutions to facilitate business processes and requirements. You will also consult with external partners to bring in knowledge to support growth and innovation. Responsibilities
Partner with other departments to gather business requirements to design and deliver network solutions
Transform new design and innovation into simple, reliable, supportable, and repeatable solutions
Partner with DTT cross-functional teams to enable application migration and development in cloud environments.
Partner with the DTT Experience and Delivery team to lead chain-wide infrastructure rollouts
Partner with the DTT Cybersecurity team on compliance audits, design requirements and new security guidelines required for Network Infrastructure
Tier 3 Support - major incident and problem escalations which require network engineering expertise and assistance
Provide knowledge sharing, streamlined documentation and live training to 1st/2nd Tier support teams.
Design, deliver, and maintain network lab infrastructure supporting critical digital initiatives
Consult with Vertical Business Lines and Ecosystems, innovating ways to provide solutions and suppliers
Represent Chick-fil-A Infrastructure and Network in outside discussions, technical forums, and conferences
Plans and directs projects and provides advanced technical knowledge, leadership, and consultation for the full stack of network infrastructure
Research, design, and maintain network technology roadmaps to include strategic direction, hardware selection, network design, and managed service providers
Own and direct network infrastructure hardware lifecycle management
Full responsibility for network supplier governance and Operational oversight
Cultivate new and current vendor relationships, including assistance with budgetary and financial strategy
Identify capacity and performance issues to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of networking infrastructure
Maintain Technical Currency of existing network infrastructure.
Maintain firmware and configurations of existing network infrastructure.
Partner with internal and external developers to identify and implement network automations
Minimum Qualifications
Expert level knowledge in network infrastructure technologies such as routing; switching; security).
Expert level knowledge in Wireless technology such as Wi-Fi design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Ability to apply, design and implement Software-Defined Networking concepts and technologies
Subject Matter Expert in foundational network applications and concepts such as DNS, OSI Model, Encryption/PKI, QoS, IPSec, IP Protocol Suite (v4 and v6) HTTP(s), SNMP, SYSLOG, HTTP, TLS, VPN, DHCP.
Design and implementation of Network Security - IPSec VPN, NGFW
Experience with enterprise cloud networking
Experience with implementing infrastructure using cloud-based SaaS solutions
Coordination and Implementation oversight for operational
Preferred Qualifications
Design and implementation of Routing protocols – EIGRP, OSPF, eBGP, iBGP
Design and implementation of LAN Switching – VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, CoS, EVPN-VXLAN
Design and implementation of Qos Quality of service configuration
Design and implementation of TCP/IP protocol suite, Load Balancing
Design and implementation of protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL
Industry standard network certifications or practical industry experience
Linux OS experience
Coding – Scripting language knowledge (Python, Ansible, etc) and experience interfacing with API’s
Configuration and troubleshoot Wireless Access Points (WAP)
Troubleshooting and resolving routing loop issues
Analyze and interpret output of networking support utilities and tools
Experience with networking Command-Line Interface (CLI)
