About the Role
As Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, clients, and team. Duties will include:
Compassionate patient care
Client education and care
Venipuncture and catheter placement
Medication preparation and administration
Radiology and diagnostics
Lab sample collection and processing
Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Medical recordkeeping
Surgical preparation and assisting
Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
Dentistry - cleaning, polishing, radiology, charting, etc.
Qualifications:
A year or more of skilled veterinary assisting experience
Compassion for patients, clients and team
Proficient in technical skills like blood draws, catheter placement, medication and fluid therapy administration, diagnostics, anesthesia
Able to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handling
Proficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records
