US Farathane Quality Auditor in Auburn Hills, Michigan

US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Auditor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Quality System including auditing of in-process product per instructions as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving, Dock Auditing as needed.

*RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • Perform receiving inspection and dock auditing as required.
  • Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
  • Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
  • Monitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
  • Assist in sort operations as needed.
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associate handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).
  • Maintain work area per housekeeping standards.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.

*QUALIFICATIONS: *

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies
  • Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Good organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 
  • Ability to add positive and negative numbers. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
