Continental Head of Forensics and Benchmarking Analysis - OESL in Auburn, Indiana

In this role, you will work with our R&D Teams to find a competitive advantage or opportunities for product improvement. This position will lead the development of the Forensic & Benchmarking activities for all OESL segments. Supporting OESL by performing Material and Product Failure Analysis; Benchmarking of current vs competitor products in the market; and supporting warranty claims.

Basic Requirements

  • Lead and develop the global Forensic & Benchmarking Team

  • Ensure the exchange over the whole BA for the main and focus products through benchmarking, material, and product testing.

  • Definition and execution of the R&D strategy through close cooperation with R&D Innovations and market trends for new technology

  • Support the evaluation of products coming into the market

  • Coordinate studies with universities & joint Labs. Endure contact with universities and institutions for support and development of new testing methods

  • Customer-centric development & approval of materials collaborating with the other departments in R&D

  • Interfacing with Serial product introduction (prototyping, serial production)

  • Support Problem-solving to support FFA and chemical & physical material testing

  • Develop standardization of our processes

  • Manage the forensic and benchmarking requirements on a global level

  • Planning of activities/projects based on customer priorities

  • Project management/support of all activities related to competitor analysis, reporting, material & product failure analysis within the organization in cooperation with colleagues in different group functions.

  • Manage the timely and quality-appropriate testing of all testing orders (order intake, test, report, data activation).

  • Development Tracking and reporting of all relevant KPIs

  • Provide employees support and guidance in an increasingly complex and more dynamic working environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Rubber/Polymer Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Materials engineering or similar.

  • 7+ years of experience in Material Development, Application Engineering, or Product Development and proven experience in leading people

  • Has working experience with other cultural regions
