ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF CLASSIFICATION:
The following listing of essential functions\" is intended to be
descriptive only and to reflect in general the duties, functions and
responsibilities of this classification as they are currently being
performed and it is not intended to be all inclusive.
- Installs, maintains, performs preventative maintenance,
troubleshoots problems and effects repairs the Company\'s fiber
electronic, microwave electronics, GE multi-point radio,
communications high voltage isolation, and support of communication
channels over Operations Technologies network associated with
aforementioned technologies. Utilize software support systems of
each communication technology. These technologies are used to
support internal and external customer systems, SCADA, and EMS
telecommunications-
- Power Systems (rectifier, battery, solar), preventative maintenance,
troubleshooting problems and effects repairs for Fiber, Microwave,
GE multi-point radio and High voltage isolation.
- Responsible for facilitation of leased line repairs associated with
communication equipment.
- Coordinates work associated with the tasks listed above, including
the coordination of outside and in-house services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICANT:
Must have valid State of Maine driver\'s license, without
restrictions that would prevent them from safely performing the
essential functions of the job, and a safe, responsible driving
record.
Must be familiar with and practice Company safety policies and
procedures.
Must be able to perform physical requirements necessary for the
work.
Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the
classification.
Must be able to work unscheduled overtime, respond to afterhours
call-out, and perform stand-by
duty as assigned.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
In-depth knowledge of telecommunication systems.
FCC License is preferred.
Associate degree in Electronics or military/trade school electronic
equivalent experience.
