Job Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist Psychiatry ensures safe, appropriate,
and economical use of drugs through the application of specialized skills and
knowledge in pediatric patient care. This position is to support the growth of
our level IV NICU. The pharmacist will join our current two NICU pharmacists
to provide clinical pharmacy services to this specialized patient population.
The three pharmacists will rotate between the different NICU teams on a
monthly basis.
This position is a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist position to provide clinical
pharmacy services to support the Pediatric Mental Health Institute. The
Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) at Children's Hospital Colorado
provides the highest quality mental health services to children, adolescents
and their families. We deliver evidence-based, family-focused and
youth-centered services that make a difference. Our interdisciplinary team
provides complete psychiatric services including outpatient care, partial
hospitalization, inpatient care and emergency services for children and
adolescents from birth to 18 years old. We approach each child with
sensitivity, experience and professionalism, working with each family to
promote healthy outcomes for their child and provide support for the whole

Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: Day, weekend and holiday rotation.
Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
Experience: Two (2) years of residency experience or one (1) year
of residency plus three (3) years of work experience.
Equivalency: Three (3) years of pharmacy work experience in area of
specialty accepted in lieu of 2nd year of residency.
Certifications: Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification
required within 3 years of start date in position.
Licensure: State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Pharmacy license.
