Experience Designer, Mid
The Opportunity:
You know that a good UX Design is more than just the code, infrastructure,
and a nice-looking interface, it's the way it addresses a user's needs.
As an Experience Designer, you can put yourself in the user's place and
design the best way for them to engage different media platforms and
applications. We're looking for someone creative like you to craft the
ultimate user experience (UX).
In this role, you'll work closely with the other UX Designers to
understand your clients' vision and their users' needs. Working on an
agile team, you'll build skills in designing large-scale digital
experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing. You'll
be involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process,
including creating using personas, developing wireframes, and designing
websites. Your experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, and
other UX design toolswill help you advocate for the prioritizations of
design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while
keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have:
5+ years of experience using a web design software, including Adobe
Creative Cloud or Figma
5+ years of experience applying best practices for improving web
accessibility, usability, and technical implementation with usability
tools, including Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Framer, or Adobe XD
Experience creating, editing, organizing, and storing digital file
formats, including tiff, gif, png, pdf, jpg, svg, html, or css
Ability to design products for front-end development and web applications,
including wireframes, low and high-fidelity mock-ups, or click through
prototypes, that implement visual media design principles, theory, best
practices, user-centered webdesign principles, and UX processes
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
5+ years of experience researching or implementing 18F U.S. Web Design
Standards Framework
Experience implementing industry standards for user experience
methodologies, design technical resources, and web best practices
Experience developing in cloud-based DevOps environment
Experience with business workflow and appropriate capabilities and tools,
including JIRA
Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
Experience with graphic design principles, including typographic and
layout, and production methods
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to
communicate presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels
Clearance:

TS/SCI clearance is required.
