The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain production equipment for manufacturing, as well as to inspect and maintain HVAC systems. In addition, the Maintenance Technician inspects all interior and exterior lighting systems, maintains the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
- 10% Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager with the inspection and maintenance of the HVAC systems.
- 30% Provide regular maintenance for the Kilns, Slipcast and RamPress, as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- 20% Conduct maintenance on the interior and exterior lighting and electrical circuits as necessary.
- 20% Maintain the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities, including the transfer of pumps.
- 10% Assist with carpentry duties to include building a variety of items necessary to ensure a functioning Facilities Department.
- 10% Assist with special events including the Barn Sale and Warehouse Sale including set up and breakdown, as well as assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth event.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises the Maintenance Assistant and Custodial Assistant. Responsibilities include interviewing and making hiring recommendation; instructing and training in work methods; scheduling, assigning and approving work.
