?Supervises and oversees the daily activities of clinical support staff within assigned ambulatory care units, including staffing schedules to effectively meet the needs of the providers and patients.With the support of the Nurse Manager, ensures staff are adequately onboarded, continuous training and competencies are completed and provides regular coaching and feedback, as necessary.Delegates effectively to share responsibilities with others; Assists with and oversees electronic health record clinical inboxes, ensures the review and completion of ambulatory care unit logs, oversees unit phone system for inbound/outbound calls and voice messages.Acts as the first escalation point of contact within assigned ambulatory care unit for patient and other clinical matters.Provides patient education, as needed.Maintains supply inventory within clinical units, managing costs effectively and efficiently.Provides direct nursing care to patient population, as needed based on clinic staffing ratios.Marginal/Incidental FunctionsProvides feedback on process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.Cross trained in other ambulatory care clinics.Attends nursing operations meetings, provides subject matter expertise to Clinical Education department. Assumes responsivity for the clinic operations in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager, as designated.
