Job Description
This position is needed to perform a variety of duties to help maintain our facility in safe operating conditions while working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment when they are discovered before they have a chance worsen including conduct regular inspections of the building.
Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, addressing plumbing issues, furniture moves, patch & paint walls.
Escort vendors around building.
Ability respond to emergency maintenance requests while on-call.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
6 months – 1 year facility maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows)
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory and /or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.
May occasionally drive to other locations.
Physical Demands
Frequent mobility required.
May be stationary for 4-6 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists.
Frequent crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. required frequency.
Ability to use a variety of computer software.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand with the ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information.
Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.
Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress while multi-tasking.
Regular and consistence attendance.
