Job Summary and Qualifications
Under general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy develops departmental operating budget; monitors all departmental financial functions, quality assurance functions, and inventory control functions for cost effective delivery of pharmacy services; participates in the total quality management of the department.
You will participate actively in the total quality management of the department
You will develop annual departmental operating budget and capital expense budget for the acute care hospital, rehabilitation center, and pavilion
You will monitor departmental finances to maintain expenses within budgeted projections based on volume You will supervise inventory control functions of the department
You will, with the director, coordinate the quality assurance functions of the department
What qualifications you will need:
Required: B.S Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (5-year equivalent program).
Preferred: ASHP-accredited hospital pharmacy residency or a master’s degree in Hospital Pharmacy Administration from an accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent experience
Required: 5+ years of hospital pharmacy experience.
Preferred: Previous experience as assistant director of pharmacy for 100+ bed hospital and/or 2 years supervisory experience.
Texas State Board of Pharmacy license is required
