The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

RTX has an opening for a Procure to Pay (P2P) Data Lead (Associate Director, Business Systems and Transformation) with a focus on Digital Technology (DT). Remote Opportunity.

Play a crucial role in the SAP S/4 ERP project, ensuring that the P2P processes are seamlessly integrated with data management strategies and the Common Information Model (CIM). Responsible for driving the data strategy within the P2P area while providing guidance and leadership to the broader data team.

This role also includes leadership responsibilities, overseeing the O2C, R2R, and PTD Data Specialists, and ensuring alignment and collaboration across these domains.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

P2P Data Leadership:

Technical Data Integration and Alignment:

Collaborate with P2P Functional and Technical teams to understand and translate process designs into data architecture requirements within the SAP S/4HANA system.

Analyze current P2P processes from a data architecture perspective, identifying technical gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for optimization.

Ensure that data models and structures are aligned with the P2P process design, optimizing data flows between systems for performance and reliability.

Common Information Model (CIM) Management:

Help develop and document the Common Information Model (CIM) with a focus on data architecture, ensuring alignment with the technical and functional requirements of P2P processes.

Take ownership of the CIM once approved by the process owner, ensuring its consistent application in Data Migration, Governance, and Analytics.

Provide technical guidance on the implementation of the CIM within the SAP S/4HANA environment, ensuring it supports integration with other systems and modules.

Data Migration:

Lead the technical aspects of the data migration process, ensuring that the CIM is correctly applied during the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of P2P data.

Collaborate with DT teams to design and implement data migration strategies that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data.

Help develop and execute validation scripts and tests to ensure data quality during and after migration.

Data Governance:

Work with DT and Data Governance teams to establish and enforce data governance policies related to the P2P domain, including technical data standards, metadata management, and data security.

Ensure that the CIM is integrated into the broader data governance framework, providing a consistent data structure across the organization.

Help implement data quality management tools and techniques to continuously monitor and improve the quality of P2P data.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

Collaborate with the DT Analytics team to ensure that the CIM supports advanced data analytics and reporting capabilities for procurement, supplier management, and accounts payable processes.

Help design and develop data models and structures that facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis in the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Support the development of P2P-related dashboards, KPIs, and reports by providing technical expertise on data architecture and integration.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and mentor the O2C, R2R, and PTD Data Specialists, providing guidance and support in their respective domains.

Foster a collaborative environment among the data specialists to ensure consistency in data strategies, CIM implementation, and data governance across the O2C, R2R, PTD, and P2P domains.

Coordinate cross-functional data initiatives, ensuring alignment of data management practices with overall project goals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage with DT and business stakeholders, including process owners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams, to ensure that data architecture and management practices meet business needs.

Facilitate technical workshops and meetings to communicate data requirements, CIM updates, and project progress from a DT perspective.

Serve as a technical liaison between DT and business teams, ensuring that data management practices support the overall goals of the SAP S/4 ERP project.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

Typically a minimum of 12+ years of experience in DT-focused data management, with a focus on Procure to Pay (P2P) processes within an ERP environment and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced Degree and 10+ years’ related work experience.

10+ years’ experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly in the areas of data architecture, integration, and data migration for procurement, supplier management, accounts payable, and inventory management processes.

Proven track record in developing and managing Common Information Models (CIM) or similar data frameworks within a DT setting.

Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

  • Deep understanding of P2P processes from a DT perspective, including procurement, supplier relationship management, accounts payable, and inventory management.

  • Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration within SAP environments.

  • Strong experience with data governance, including metadata management, data quality management, and data security.

  • Proficiency in SQL, SAP HANA, data migration tools (e.g., SAP Data Services), and data analytics platforms.

  • Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to translate complex DT concepts into business-friendly language.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • SAP Certified Technology Professional: System Administration (SAP HANA) with SAP NetWeaver.

Education:

Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
