Job Purpose
As a Sales Account Manager, you are responsible for developing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers (existing and new) in your market space. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of our products, as well as the ability to provide solutions that meet the needs of our clients in order to grow our business pipeline and ensure consistent revenue growth. The main responsibilities of this position include selling to new accounts, upgrading and cross-selling existing accounts, renewing accounts, and providing exceptional customer service and support.
Principal Accountabilities
Build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with existing clients in the plastics and chemical industry.
Identify new potential clients and create strategies to expand the customer base.
Understand clients' needs and provide them with tailored solutions.
Respond timely to all customer requests and enquiries.
Attending industry conferences to network and develop industry expertise.
Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls
Set sales targets and work towards achieving them.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements. Including but not limited to quoting and estimating customers provided conceptual engineering prints.
Assisting with the proper evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing or formula releases
Generate and follow up on sales leads.
This role demands extensive travel, approximately 60%-70%, within the US
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering or chemistry, chemical engineering. Possessing an MBA or MS is considered advantageous.
6-8 years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical roles- Semiconductor experience required
Experience within the plastics and chemical industry - preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
Strong knowledge of plastics and chemical products and their applications
Demonstrates excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
Proven ability to mobilize, energize and influence a diverse team of professionals across the world toward a common goal.
Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $103,400-$129,300. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
