Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Support highly functional, secure, scalable, and robust software solutions from the product ideation stage to production deployment through collaboration with product owners, architects, test engineers, dev-ops, and operations. Take ownership and responsibility for one or more applications in a solution. Provide application architecture and design artifacts and conduct design reviews. Present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Take a hands-on role in influencing development activities, architecture decisions, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation. Analyze existing software for usability and accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement. Partner with Business Analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions. Design and document moderately complex technical requirements for business applications. Ensure the product adheres to architecture standards, risk management standards, and security policies and can take on the DEV lead for the scrum team. Provide strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, trouble shooting, and continuous development. Utilize expertise in money transfer core platform which is referred as group of services to support messaging, routing and to assist with enforcing data collection and validation for compliance requirements. Support designing and solutioning for KYC system as per legal and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Apply Agile Methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DOD) process for better quality by maintaining 82% and unit test coverage and 70% integration test coverage. Develop technical and domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts. Share Engineering support and release qualifications. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Western Union, LLC at 11902 Burnet Road, Suite 350, Austin, TX 78758. Salary: $108,826 - $151,800 per

year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving software application development.

Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience consulting with project teams and functional units on the design of projects or services; 3 years of professional experience implementing and consuming RESTful web services; 3 years of professional experience utilizing React, JavaScript, CSS, Jenkins, and Microservices; 3 years of professional experience working with computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPS, and OOA/D; 3 years of professional experience with Agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery); 2 years of professional experience using programming languages including Java, as well as corresponding dependency management tools, Maven, Spring Boot, and MySQL; 2 years of professional experience utilizing HTTP and JSON; and 1 year of professional experience working in cross border money transfer domain.
