YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Water, you would contribute to ensuring clean and available water and protecting Texas water resources. This position is a member of our Water Supply Division. See details about what we do. Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience implementing a regulatory program requiring the development of rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance, etc. Experience mentoring/training others in administrative and/or technical tasks. Experience working with public drinking water programs. Experience writing and/or editing technical documents. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Assist management with the day-to-day planning, organization, and coordination of team projects/assignments and timelines. Receive and assign work and oversee staff and activities of a work group and conduct management review and editing of deliverables from work group members. Aide with the hiring process, staff development activities, and personnel actions. Provide input into performance management decisions. Deliver customer service to internal and external customers related to the agencys drinking water quality program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to Public Information Requests (PIR). Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring to staff, and internal and external customers. Serve as a senior-level technical and regulatory resource for assigned programs/topics. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field, plus six years of full-time experience in environmental activities. A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials in CAPPS is required if needed to meet the qualifications listed as required above. One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education. OR A masters degree from an accredited college or university in the degrees listed above, or related fields plus five years of the required experience. OR A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, environmental science, or related fields plus four years of the required experience.
