Role : Tool Crib Attendant
Duration : 6 month, contract to hire
Description :
This position is responsible for the management of all aspects of spare parts in support of the Bottling Maintenance and Electrical & Controls groups. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager but works closely with the associated Supervisors, Leads and Mechanics.
Responsibilities :
Monitor and maintain current inventory levels to ensure proper and timely replacements
Review and enter daily inventory usage and assist Botting Maintenance Mechanics with inventory transactions
Provide inventory system expertise for transactions and searching, train mechanics as needed
Processes purchase requisitions as required
Track expected delivery dates and provide status feedback as needed
Verify receipt of inventory items delivered and ensure proper bin placement within the same day
Maintain knowledge and good organization of inventory locations both physically and systematically
Maintain machine knowledge and knowledge of spare parts, descriptions, suppliers and usage frequencies; Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals and technical documents (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical)
Support Maintenance Mechanics with work on the floor as required
Work with Vendors to identify unknown parts/problems
Continuously Review Spare parts inventory for obsolete parts and variances
Support Inventory with physical count of inventory and review of completed counts
Assist mechanics on planning future projects to ensure parts are available
Stage parts for CMs and PMs
Evaluate and maintain proper levels of consumables
Maintain chemical cabinets and ensure proper SDS documentation upkeep
Clean and organize inventory cages and parts bins
Comply with good manufacturing practices, safety and audit standards
Work independently under limited supervision
Additional Lead Responsibilities :
Ensure, organize, and communicate coverage during vacations and sick times
Identify and lead projects
Support the design and implementation of new systems and procedures, train Mechanics and Clerks.
Review and ensure accurate descriptions and identifiers in the management system
Identify and suggest areas for improvement
Qualifications :
3+ years' experience in similar position preferred. Experience using an Maintenance Management or ERP type computer system.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs (excel, powerpoint, etc..)
Need to have come from a similar role in a manufacturing environment, but would prefers someone from a food & beverage or bottling plant
Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Candidate must be able to lift 50+ lbs. above head
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Ideally looking for someone who has been in a mechanical role in their past. Someone who knows how to read blueprints, understand schematics, and machine manuals to identify equipment and machine parts. This person needs to be mechanically inclined enough to understand the machines and know the components involved. This person will need to be able to assist in diagnosing machine breakdowns and providing insight on parts and inventory to fix
