CNC Machinist/Programmer
2nd shift

Description:
• Will be programming and setting up machines to make parts for the tool and die department
• all programming is done at the machine not in the office
• To manufacture spare tooling and details for new tool builds
• To program equipment/locations/coordinates off of the detail prints in order to produce a product using a variety of programming methods
• Ensure and improve the speed and accuracy of the manufacturing process by finding new machining methods
• Interpret and troubleshoot prints for missing dimensions, over tolerance, and clearance
• Routine maintenance of equipment
• Analyze print to quickly decide how to properly set up
• Routine maintenance of equipment
• Facilitate continuous process improvement
• Testing a system for correct functioning
• Examining products or items for fine defects
• Examining products or items for gross defects
• Checking products for satisfactory production quality
• Noting defects in an object or structure
• Checking all materials are available for a project
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
-- Must be able to program at the machine
-- Must be capable of setting up machines independently
-- Must have their own tools
-- Must be comfortable reading blue prints in order to machine one off parts
Nice to haves:
-- job shop environment
-- Experience with DMG mori machines - mill or lathe
