SOS International LLC Operations Manager (OCONUS) in Baghdad, Iraq, Iraq

SOSi is seeking an Operations Manager to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing operations & maintenance (O&M) support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. The program shall support O&M, full supply chain fuel services, renovation and construction projects, and other limited logistics support. The Operations Manager will report to the Task Order Site Manager and directly oversee operations at one of the assigned sites. The Operations Manager will have the authority to commit the labor force and the use of resources (tools, materials, parts, and other materials) to meet the overall requirements of the program.

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking O&M services.

  • Responsible for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs.

  • Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements to perform task order requirements.

  • Plan and manage projects.

  • Control resources; monitor staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor the locations and activities of assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from O&M staff and USGrepresentatives.

  • Resolve O&M issues.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in Scope Secret security clearance.

  • Associate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university in a related field or discipline.

  • 15 years of O&M support services and/or facilities management experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing such services to large facilities or operations.

  • Valid driver's license from home of record.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of O&M activities for a comparable facility.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

  • Advanced demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

  • Excellent demonstrated writing and speaking skills.

  • Excellent demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant overseas facilities management experience.

  • Previous international experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions.

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required.

Work Environment

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
