Position Details:
Loyola University Maryland is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities Department. This is a full time position and is scheduled to work Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs to structural components of buildings.
Duties include: conduct inspections of structural components of buildings, including but not limited to roofs, doors, walls, windows, ceilings and floors. Respond to repair requests, troubleshoot problems and make necessary repairs. Perform repairs to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors and other building surfaces. Assist with renovations and remodeling work as needed using hand and power tools. Install drywall; paint preparation, and paint as required. Fit, install, and maintain door and window hardware. Operate, maintain and ensure adequate supplies, tools, power tools, materials and equipment of the trade or area where assigned. Prepare requisitions and obtain materials needed to complete assigned projects. Ensure operational readiness and safety of work areas, tools, power tools and equipment. Assist with snow removal.
Must have 3 to 5 years of work experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
