Applied Materials Electrical Engineer in Bangalore, India

Roles and Responsibility

  • Design and modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and perform detailed electrical engineering analysis.

  • Obsolescence process, Customer support for field issues, Interact with suppliers. etc.

  • Thorough technical knowledge of electrical engineering design concepts and applications. Working knowledge of electrical devices like, Motors, Drivers, Controllers, VFD’s, Turbo pumps etc

  • Experience in selection of OEM components, Motors, Drivers, VFD’s, Turbo pumps, controllers, Switch gear, Field instruments like sensors, transmitters, switches, transducers etc.

  • Experience in setting up Electrical test stand/bench activities and simulate test conditions. Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision.

  • Technically lead and executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliers. Conduct obsolescence risk assessment for prompt risk mitigation strategy and implementation to ensure product manufacturability and sustenance.

  • Identify alternate solutions and validate FFF compatibility for DFX

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for recommendations and approvals on alternate solutions including testing, qualifications and re-designs requirements and secure enough inventory basis supply-demand projections and product roadmaps.

  • Define, Coordinate, Generate electrical product specifications and engineering test reports. Review and Execute engineering document changes ensuring compliance to standard procedures.

  • Maintain records of the obsolescence projects incl. priority, mitigation actions, status report.

  • Complete assigned projects / tasks ensuring compliance to productivity and quality goals. Worked on projects from requirement to final product release.

  • Participate in resolving customer complaints & escalations through root-cause analysis and corrective-preventive actions.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to increase team’s overall effectiveness.

  • Strong Communication skills and Cross functional team coordination.

  • Excellent aptitude for multi-tasking and willing to learn

  • Good to have Skill

  • Electrical knowledge in Power electronics devices, Servo Motors, Stepper motors, Induction motors, Industrial Drivers, Controllers, VFD’s, Turbo pumps etc

  • Experience in utilizing FPGA or Microprocessor expertise to implement specific function or project.

  • Experience in setting up test bench/stand and simulate test conditions, functional testing, failure analysis etc,

  • Engineering change management methodology.

  • Hands on experience with component level troubleshooting and handling various laboratory equipment including oscilloscope, function generator, spectrum analyzer, L/C meters, Logic analyzer etc
