Overview:
In this role the Lead Engineer will support engineering activities in Engineering Product development Team engaged in full Product detail design and strong experience in Product development life cycle of Aircraft Structures.
Position: Lead Engineer (P2) - Mechanical Design
Primary Responsibilities:
Working knowledge on Design architectural phase and product life cycle.
Experience in PDR, CDR and Technical Design reviews with customers / counter parts.
Create drawings including manufacturing, Inspection & quality information with critical details.
Experience in presenting in Design reviews.
Strong experience in CATIA V5 and in 3D PDF creation.
Good knowledge in GD&T and MBD creation
Should have fair knowledge on material and Fastener selection.
Should have good experience in performing multiple trades, capture advantages & disadvantage of each trade.
Should be able to understand Customer inputs like technical requirements and Change requests & etc.
Able to perform stack ups and weight assessment.
Should have basic knowledge of Teamcenter (PLM Software)
Able to take the ownership of work and handle it independently.
Able to create excellent technical presentation and liaison with counterparts/customers.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Skill Sets:
Strong Experience with CATIA V5, MS Office Tools,
Able to do hand calculations through classical approach using free body concepts.
knowledge of Teamcenter (PLM Software).
Knowledge of Aerospace structures design, materials, manufacturing requirements & processes and heat treatment processes.
Experience on Actuators, Seals and Valves Design
Exposure towards Gears / Clutches / Motors / Electromagnetic concepts
Knowledge on Interface Control Document (ICD) & Interface Control Model (ICM) creation.
Very good communications skills.
Basic qualifications
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.
Desired Experience: 3 to 6 years.
