The Role

As our Network Support Specialist

· Responsible for insuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise network.

· Troubleshooting SolarWinds application related issues. Ability to understand & troubleshoot system faults and application performance issues.

· Analyse the in-scope issue and engage respective teams for issue resolution with defined timelines.

· Analyse and assess performance enhancements and recommend performance tuning and optimization actions.

· Work with client site Network Services Specialists to integrate new devices or accommodate changes following established change management procedures.

· Activation of tools, asset recording, testing of management systems/appliances in reaching network devices.

· Engage with required team to resolve Customer Escalations.

· Promptly highlight and then work on risk related to daily operations/ customer environment which requires urgent attention and has potential of risk.

· Maintenance of response and resolution SLA timelines as per customer agreement

· Ensuring 0% response breaches due to delayed assignment of tickets during queue monitoring and zero tolerance on incorrect assignments or misrouting

· Proactively identify and call out redundant repetitive high priority related issue that may be business impacting.

· Responsible to maintain healthy backlog with 0 count of high aging tickets unless there are customer dependencies.

· Understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedure.

Required Skills and Experience

Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Network Fundamentals…

Good Knowledge in the use of network management protocols (e.g. SNMP Versions, SNMP Traps, SNMP MIB, Syslog, ICMP, etc.)

Troubleshoot SolarWinds issues and work with appropriate teams until resolution.

Troubleshooting SolarWinds application related issues. Ability to understand & troubleshoot system faults and application performance issues.

Intermediate knowledge on IPAM & Infoblox

Log a call with SolarWinds in case of any issue or requirement.

Schedule reports

Create custom alerts.

Basic knowledge of MS SQL

Installation & Configuration of HA, Additional Polling Engine, different modules like NPM, NCM, NAM, IPAM

Troubleshoot issue if alerts are not functioning as expected.

Verify if all the alerts are properly formatted on email.

Verify if all the scheduled reports are working as expected.

Check whether all the components are getting polled in monitoring tools.

Good Knowledge in creating NCM Backups and Schedule the same as per the Kyndryl standards.

Monitoring and management of tools in the implementation, support troubleshooting, and operation of the Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, NAM.

Intermediate knowledge on Cisco ISE and AAA functionality.

Preferred Skills and Experience

•Experience with BGP, Software Defined Networking (SDN) based on Cisco ACI, Checkpoint/Cisco Firepower firewalls, F5 load Balancers, NSX

•Working knowledge of ITIL
