What you’ll do:
The Material Planner will be primarily responsible for the Production Planning and Control (PPC) and Material Planning (MPC) functions ensuring that the production plan is created for new projects and material is aligned. The person would also be responsible for effectively driving customer cutover planning from multiple Eaton sites to Bangalore.
"• RFQ Management – Float RFQ’s to suppliers, and depth analysis of RFQ’s, recommendation to commodity managers / Customers on the RFQ / suppliers.
• Supplier Management – Worked on supplier addition / modification in the system. Interact with new suppliers and ensure onboarding of the same as per Eaton process
• Create Purchase Orders and release to the suppliers to meet the production plan
• Production Planning - Create a production plan to align with the transition project requirement and coordinate with the Shop floor Production to ensure production as per schedule
• Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
• Report Management – Should have good experience on different report generation and analysis for these reports.
• Working Knowledge of ERP
• Should have analytical mind to analyze the supplier data for pay terms optimization, supplier rationalization, cost out opportunities and making daily/weekly/monthly dashboards for reporting
• Daily follow up to ensure material delivery on time and per required quantity.
• Pre- SIOP- Operations- for betterment of material/production planning, for taking proactive actions against probable risks
• Understanding of multiple constraints in a scenario and arriving at an optimum strategy to act"
Qualifications:
B.E/B.Tech
6-8 years as a Production Planner and Material Planner. Experience in direct material procurement is required.
Skills:
"ERP Understanding
Should be able to read and analyse technical drawings & data
Knowledge of Excel, Power BI and other such tools will be an advantage"
"Good Communication Skills to coordinate and work with a global team; Proficiency in English is a must
Previous experience in working on projects.
Project management experience is a bonus."
