Overview:

In this role the Senior Lead Engineer will support engineering activities in Engineering Product development Team engaged in full Product detail design and strong experience in System architecture design of Aircraft Advance Structures.

Position: Senior Lead Engineer (P3) - Mechanical Design

Primary Responsibilities:

Following Strong competencies are highly required for Detailed Designers:

  • Experience in System architecture design and complete product life cycle.

  • Proficiency on detailed design requirements, stack ups, weight assessment, modelling the Assembly or structure within design space.

  • Knowledge on ASME information, GD tolerance, creating 2D drawings / develop 3D PDFs for detailed drawings.

  • Develop detailed models (part creations), Test & certification detailed design models.

  • Create drawings including manufacturing, Inspection, and quality information with critical details.

  • Experience in MBD creation, performing multiple trades, capture advantages & disadvantage of each trade.

  • Skillful in driving PDR, CDR and Technical Design reviews with customers / counter parts.

  • Acquaintance on material and Fastener selection, understand Customer inputs and Change requests & etc.

  • Should take ownership on detailed design & work Independently. Demonstrate Strong capability in providing technical help to peers.

  • Create excellent technical presentations and communicate well with counterparts/customers in both verbal and written.

Skill Sets:

  • Strong Experience with CATIA V5, MS Office Tools,

  • Able to do hand calculations through classical approach using free body concepts.

  • knowledge of Teamcenter (PLM Software).

  • Knowledge of Aerospace structures design, materials, manufacturing requirements & processes and heat treatment processes.

  • Experience on Actuators, Seals and Valves Design

  • Exposure towards Gears / Clutches / Motors / Electromagnetic concepts

  • Knowledge on Interface Control Document (ICD) & Interface Control Model (ICM) creation.

  • VB Macro Automation skills.

  • Strong decision making and critical thinking.

  • Very good communications skills.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.

  • Desired Experience: 8 to 12 years.
