In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design and implement software solutions for performance enterprise software applications that support and add value to Respironics’ ventilators and devices that treat OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea). The candidate will have the opportunity to work as a full stack engineer on modern microservices architecture and cloud-based enterprise application.
You are responsible for
Provide in-depth analysis and resolution of complex software issues being experienced by customers globally
Develop software solutions for medical software and associated requirements and designs
Defining, tracking and communicating key customer problems, including facilitation of technical deep-dive, root cause analysis etc. with other technical leaders/members
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer problems are completed to resolution
Mine data from all data sources and interpret it for stakeholders to make data-driven decisions
Prepare reports for market and business leadership that effectively communicates trends, patterns and predictions
Proactively identifying and mitigating technical problems by means of data mining, monitoring etc.

Philips Sleep and Respiratory organization that generates more than a billion dollars a year in revenue. Our customer-facing application developed by this organization is critical to customers and is, in many instances, the deciding factor in the buying process. The Field Engineering group is focused on identifying software issues and needs experienced by customers and developing software solutions to address those needs in a timely fashion
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or similar technical field
4+ years of demonstrated proficiency in building Enterprise applications using Java
Demonstrated experience and fluency withy Spring Framework (Sprint-Boot preferred)
Strong experience with Micro-services Architecture applications
Strong experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
Experience with enterprise messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ, MSMQ
Experience with scripting languages such as Python
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
Experience with source control tools such as Git, TFS
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Scrum/Agile software development process
Experience with any of the following will be considered a plus:
Application Performance Monitoring tools such as New Relic, App Dynamics
Experience with issue/defect tracking tools like Rally, JIRA
Experience with Mongo, Postgres
Experience with API client such as Postman
Experience with mobile apps
Developing medical related products
Working directly with customers to resolve complex issues
