Summary/Objective
Accountable to the Program Manager, the TSSC Manager/Mission Generation Lead is responsible for managing the B-52 Training System Support Center (TSSC) and Mission Generation functional areas. The TSSC Manager provides supervision and operational control of all TSSC and Mission Generation employees at Barksdale AFB and other additional support staff to ensure contract compliance.
The TSSC Manager will plan, coordinate, and implement structured Configuration and Data Management efforts over all B-52 Training Systems (TS) configured hardware, software, mission generation packages, and support elements. Applies technical and professional standards and guidelines to manage, supervise, and coordinate all activities at an assigned site; works with local organizations and governments to promote the site and its programs and encourage their support for, participation in, and use of the site; conducts research about the site and people and events related to it; schedules, monitors, and coordinates work projects, restoration crews, and contractors; plans and supervises site security; administers rules, regulations, and policies.
The TSSC Manager will be the single TSSC focal point for all mission generation and planning scenarios, projects, modifications, and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) that are boarded to the SCWG with the Government.

TSSC Manager
- Operation and performance of the TSSC and specified operational support for the B-52 Training Systems (TS), components, subsystems, and support equipment.

- Will also act as a B-52 TS Test Pilot, testing and running all mission scenarios for Quality Assurance (QA) before they are released for use.

- Lead and manage the CM and DM work efforts in accordance with the CM Plan.

- Plan, execute, and supervise revisions and updates to the B-52 TS formal software and product baseline.

- Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development as applicable to the TSSC per the B-52 TS Performance Work Statement.

- Assist the COR with TS program evaluations, ensuring that all TSSC operational requirements are met.

- Supervise the Test and Quality Assurance functions to ensure proper testing of the B-52 TS and QA activities are maintained throughout lifecycle of projects.

- Supervise Data Management activities including the control of criteria data and updates to the formal technical data package.

- Manage the EDMS Data and Drawing Libraries to include responsibility of all TSSC CDRLs.

- Schedule personnel training activities, develop structured procedures for completing tasks within area of responsibility, and coordinate with other supervisors for outside assistance.

- Build, maintenance, and configuration control of B-52 TS software baselines.

- Responsible for configuration management planning.

- Troubleshoot and help resolve errors encountered during software builds.

- Assignment or reassignment of tasks, regulating schedules, and evaluating performance.

- Support and cover as needed through the TSSC, CLS, and Mission Generation.

Mission Generation Lead
- Facilitates and leads all mission generation and planning activities.

- Expert user and system administrator on all mission planning support equipment

- Develop and modify existing mission files to build and release mission package that includes all physical forms and support documentation.

- Conduct impact and compatibility analysis to support the integration of new mission generation and planning equipment software and hardware releases.

```
- Responsible for the operability of all mission generation equipment to include the initial assessment and effort for start-up.

- Coordinate with the Government on all annual mission generation effort and goals via the TSSC Annual Plan

Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a technical related field.

- 4-12 years of experience as a Configuration Manager, or completion of Configuration Manager training, or on an engineering team.

- Familiarity with configuration control board procedures and/or Agency Review Board (ARB)/ Engineering Requirements Board (ERB) desired.

- Experience with military management and have an understanding of military protocols and customs.

- Experience with aircrew training devices.

- Former B-52 Aircrew member.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of military configuration management requirements and SEI Capability Maturity Model Integrated is preferred.

- Experience developing and modifying mission files is highly desired.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have authority or responsibility for the leadership and supervision of others.
Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
While working in an office environment, this position will frequently be required to sit, talk, listen, use eye acuity, be on camera, and use hands/fingers to grasp or type. This position will also occasionally require walking and standing.
This position will also frequently require the individual to use the following tools, equipment, or programs: Computer, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, Deltek Costpoint.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be on site at Barksdale AFB and will require adherence to the Government site hours of operation. This position is a full-time salaried exempt position, expected to work 80 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the Government site hours of operations when Program support is needed.
