Children?s Cove is seeking applicants for the full-time, 37.5 hour per
week Child Exploitation Program Coordinator. The Child Exploitation
Program Coordinator will provide developmentally and culturally
appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews, support and case
management for high-risk youth and child victims of commercial sexual
exploitation and trafficking. This position will conduct and coordinate
the scheduling of forensic interviews, serves as the primary contact for
all referrals and provide case management for Commercial Sexual
Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and high-risk youth cases. This position
will conduct training and outreach regarding the Commercial Sexual
Exploitation of Children and high-risk youth. Must have knowledge of the
National Child Advocacy Center model, child and family development,
child abuse issues, child trafficking dynamics, long and short-term
effects on children and families, emotional and safety needs of child
victims and appropriate community resources. Must have ability to work
in a multidisciplinary team environment and independently and have
ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality. Must relate to
children in all age groups, socio-economic background, and cultures.
Bachelor\'s degree in social work, human services, psychology,
education, criminal justice, education, or a related field. Master\'s
Degree in related field preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of
professional experience working with children and families where abuse
and violence are identified issues is required. Requires professional
experience in working with the criminal justice or child welfare system
and has been or will be trained in forensic interviewing upon hiring.
