What you'll be doing..

Verizon's Corporate Systems Group (CSG) is transforming how we leverage technology across the business to unlock customer and employee experience, strengthen business partners' value realization, and build advanced processes & capability through product management and industry-leading platform partners.

As a Senior Manager - Legal and Communications, will be responsible for leading a team to drive the end-to-end process for these domains planning to translate business strategy into product strategy, and working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product capabilities.

You will play a critical part in developing and implementing industry-leading practices, platforms, and systems-based program management. Your expertise will empower the business to achieve its strategic objectives, including the corporate data strategy and architecture. Proven ability to spearhead cultural and mindset shifts is essential for modernizing our large-scale organization.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Partnering with business leaders to translate business strategy into a set of product capabilities and roadmap for each of the domains.

  • Providing thought partnerships to business leaders.

  • Understanding capabilities to be built and proactively surface the path forward to achieve the outcomes

  • Driving action planning to build and close the product roadmap.

  • Leading across teams to develop and prioritize action plans.

  • Evaluating progress, leading the planning process with business partners and communicating with senior leadership teams.

  • Collaborating across teams to develop a demand plan, with processes and capabilities to drive digital transformation.

  • Leading a team to continuously improve planning process and tools, including refining roles and responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end process improvement and designing to reimagine the way work is done to realize revenue and unlock cost efficiencies.

  • Enabling enterprise thinking and innovation to grow and scale the business to drive revenue, customer-centricity, employee satisfaction, and a purpose-driven brand.

  • Working on agile program/project management to drive execution plans to differentiate the business and provide exceptional stakeholder experiences.

  • Building a safe space to foster a learning culture, inspiration and ownership of the success of others, and servant leadership.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in leading a team to drive the end-to-end process for the domains - Legal and Communications to translate business strategy into product strategy.

  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and/or Agile Methodology.

  • Experience in Project Management.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience in managing large cross-functional projects.

  • Experience managing and influencing client relationships at the senior exec level; ability to present and interact with all levels of management.

  • Possess excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to coach, mentor, and train others and educate key stakeholders; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information, managing credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward, and downward and reads appropriately across the organization.

  • Being a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and influencing skills.

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
