GDIT TSS is looking for an AI Software Development Technical Lead to support the implementation of a contact center and cognitive AI platform to serve all GDIT customers with these requirements. The AI practice will reduce the reliance on live agents/technicians within the service desk through innovation.

The AI Software Development Technical Lead will develop cognitive use case solutions in our AI tools (IPSoft Amelia, Google CCAI) and NICE CXone . As the software developer, you will work collaboratively with an agile team of developers to implement and integrate the capabilities of the cognitive agent. Provides guidance to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

HOW AN AI SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TECHNICAL LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.

  • Provides guidance in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.

  • Provides guidance to all phases of the software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging process to meet business needs.

  • Provides valued analysis on software project specifications, activities, or status.

  • Advises on the software or system process for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates.

  • Serve as technical lead and mentor for a small team of software engineers

  • Lead the team in planning and review activities

  • Work closely with technical leadership and other team leads to drive architecture and design and provide technical decisions for the team in line with architectural goals

  • Monitor release quality and make recommendations regarding risks and stability of new features

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 8+ years of experience

  • Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes

  • Experience Formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems

  • Experience with Conversational AI and Contact Center Platform technologies

  • Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks

  • Implement the product's lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance

  • Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Must be US Person that has been a U.S. resident for at least three consecutive years

  • GSA Public Trust Required

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with IPsoft Amelia, Google CCAI or other AI platforms

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
