Job Summary
The Brand Standards Coach (BSC) role is responsible to assist in elevating the growth and success of our franchise system. The BSC’s primary function is facilitating Restaurant Operations Improvement Process (ROIP) evaluations. The BSC is also responsible for supporting New Restaurant Openings (NROs). The BSC builds influence through strong operational knowledge and credibility with franchisees and their employees. The role provides proactive, honest, and informative interactions during restaurant visits. The objective is to identify key areas for improvement related to operational efficiency and profitability. The BSC is responsible to assist in upholding core values and operational brand standards to protect and grow the Papa Johns brand. The BSC protects the Papa Johns brand by driving operational improvement through the ROIP process.
Duties & Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
Operational Brand Standards
Conduct ROIPs in restaurants to meet company goals for frequency
Understand, interpret, uphold, and enforce brand standards & operational policies and procedures
Support successful NROs
Perform franchise calibration visits as determined by the Brand Standards Department
Support the testing and roll-out of new products
Influence improvement of operational results through restaurant optimization
Training and Coaching
Maintain in-depth knowledge in all aspects of the Management Development Program (MDP) and period promotion training; Required to conduct successful training of new team members for NROs
Provide hands-on training during evaluations, providing positive and constructive feedback as necessary
Coach improvements in guest experience, product quality, training, and image to drive profitability
Communication and Scheduling
Demonstrate efficiency in time and territory management ensuring all visits are completed within the timelines identified in the ROIP process
Communicate on any areas of improvement identified during restaurant visits
Schedule all travel in the most cost-effective manner
Complete all responsible administrative functions and requirements of the role in a timely manner
