Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a detail oriented, driven STAFF ACCOUNTANT to join a growing accounting team in the Bay Shore area.
As the STAFF ACCOUNTANT, you will:
Assist in the month end close for multiple entities including both domestic and international operations
Prepare account reconciliations
Assist in preparing financial statements, variance analysis, sales reporting, inventory analyses, and other ad hoc analyses and projects
Showcase your strong ERP and Advanced Excel skills
Demonstrate your eagerness to continue to learn and be cross trained across all accounting areas

Requirements - Solid understanding of month end closings
Account analysis experience
Well-founded grasp of general ledger
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Fixed Asset Accounting experience highly desired
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Proven knowledge of journal entries
Foundational knowledge in Annual Inventory
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
ERP system experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
