Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced System Administrator to join our team, specializing in managing and supporting digital cybersecurity assessment tools such as Blade Risk Manager (BRM). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system administration. System Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of virtual RHEL server hosting BRM software.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage virtual machines from multiple domain (NIPRNet, SIPRNet and CV2)
Manage and maintain BRM systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Manage and maintain cybersecurity assessment and authorization package for BRM
Provide support for BRM user accounts
Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to support and enhance system functionalities.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical systems.
Ensure system security through access controls, firewalls, and security configurations.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay updated with industry trends and developments to suggest improvements to system performance and security.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Location: On-site with opportunities for remote work.
Travel Requirements: 10% minimal travel.
Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in related field. In lieu of degree 10 years of experience with RHEL operating system administration.
Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI.
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Expertise in managing Blade Risk Manager or similar risk management software.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Desired Qualifications:
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to risk management.
