Description

Robert Half is working with a well-respected company in the Beaverton area seeking a talented Accounting Manager. This is a 4-5 month assignment with the prospect of a long-term role. The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions and management including working closely with the accounting team and overseeing all accounting goals and benchmarks. This position is essential to ensuring the highest level of organizational and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your accounting career. Responsibilities:

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting documents.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements to provide timely and accurate income statement and balance sheet variance explanations

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the GL accounting team, including cash management, inter-company, and fixed assets management

  • Maintain appropriate internal controls over accounts payable and financial reporting in compliance with company standards

  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting for management, including consolidation of subsidiaries

  • Manage ad hoc requests and questions directed to Accounting

  • Manage accounting system (Financial Edge) including security settings, new user set-up and period open and close

  • Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

  • Support annual preparation of organizational budget

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA strongly preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role

  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, including formula writing and creating pivot tables required

  • Intermediate level with a computerized accounting and system software required

  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information

  • Must possess initiative and a desire for continuous improvement

  • Produce accurate and timely work efficiently
