Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced, insightful and hands-on Senior Accountant for one of its top clients operating in the federal government space. The ideal candidate has experience in public accounting and possesses a thorough understanding of Federal Government Contracting and the application of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles. The daily responsibilities include managing payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable cycles; creating and issuing project invoices; collaborating with project management and contracts administration teams; reconciling employee expense reports; assisting with month-end closings; producing internal financial statements; assisting in the compilation of the annual company budget through forecasting and financial analysis; supporting outside audits; and maintaining compliance with company accounting policies and procedures for all financial transactions. This role requires daily onsite presence in Bedminster, NJ.

Skills and Requirements
8+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ public accounting and 5+ federal government contract accounting.
Strong user of Deltek Costpoint accounting software.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, cost accounting and FAR-based contracting.
Strong critical thinking with the ability to analyze financial data to identify and resolve accounting issues.
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) null
