Job Description

Purpose of Role

The purpose of the position is to manage the overall accounting and finance operations of the plant to ensure the full compliance with the local and US GAAP requirements. In addition, this position is the finance partner to plant director and represents finance leadership in the plant and provides financial support in key decision makings of the plant and the entire supply chain from an E2E perspective.

Main Responsibilities

1. Business partnering

Play a crucial role as finance business partner to plant director and plant leadership team. Provide professional supports and insights to drive growth, execution efficiencies and strong governances.

2. Accounting

Lead the timely closing of the US book and local book, provide accurate financial reports and ensure the full compliance with US/local GAAP’s.

3. Cost controlling

Support plant accomplishment of all financial targets by leading the budget preparation, identifying productivity opportunities via budget review and actual analysis.

4. Financial Analysis

Provide consultation and economical guidance such as financial analysis to enable the plant management to make correct decision on all investments and cost saving projects.

5. Capex & assets management

Manage fixed assets for the full life cycle and steer Capex investment agenda, ensure high quality investment decision and smooth project execution and post evaluation.

6. Control/Audits

To maintain a strong control environment by coordinating the control self-assessments, hosting internal and external audits, and drive the development and implementation of the action plans.

7. Tax/Treasury and other ER (external relationship) management

Ensure the plant operation meets all external requirements such as Tax, Treasury. Sustain reliable working relationship with external stakeholders (e.g., Auditing Firms, Tax Authorities, Banks, Financial Bureau etc.) to make sure company is operated under healthy environment.

8. Financial Information System

Support the key financial & information system deployment to the plant (e.g., Catalyst/SAP), provide active input to the project team. Take the on-going responsibility to train and develop other end users.

9. Organization Management

Maintain a high-performance plant finance organization by proper design, sufficient coaching and effective motivation of the organization. Represents finance leadership in plant leadership team.

Personal Specifications

  • Qualified Degree in Finance or Accountancy, MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in finance & accounting in an MNC, familiar with US GAAP and local GAAP.

  • 5+ years in supply chain finance, plant experience preferred; E2E (end to end) supply chain experience is a plus.

  • Experienced in leading a team, good at coaching.

  • Proficient analytical skills, and sound understanding of the consumer goods industry.

  • Resilient, can work under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fluent in English.

  • High mobility (in China or globally) is a plus.
