Project Engineer I (Bellport, NY): Review and analyze blueprints and drawings of steel manufacturer and heavy construction contractor. Provide engineering advice for design, construction, and structure. Examine company’s commercial and industrial heavy construction project documentation and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. Assist developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans and budgetary restrictions. Review project specifications, bid proposals, scope reports, cost estimates, site surveys and measurements. Create shop drawings of steel items using AutoCAD software. Ensure that field measurements are taken properly in line with the engineering data and conduct quantity inspections. Salary: $74,589/annually.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related position. Experience reviewing designs and blueprints for construction projects. Experience preparing detailed weekly project status update reports for management review. Experience maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Experience using AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Excel.
