Cadence Design Systems Inc. (https://www.cadence.com/) is looking for a motivated, experienced, team-oriented Lead Systems Engineer to be part of our IT R&D Solutions team in Brazil . The hired employee will work closely with the Cadence product development teams to provide solutions for our global compute farm that improve s the way we build, test, and run Cadence products. Our focus areas include building strong partnerships with R&D, proposing and implementing emerging technologies to improve productivity , and maintaining engineering infrastructure . Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to support Information Security initiatives and operations.
Job Description:
Support R&D users in EDA software development and IP designs
Build opensource packages, apply patches and investigate issues
Work closely with the InfoSec team to build and maintain environments that comply with high - secur ity standards
Evaluate modern technologies and service offerings that have the potential to improve the experience for the users
Partner with other IT members to create, deploy, and optimize solutions supporting IT initiatives
Requirements :
Education: b achelor’s degree in Computer Science (or) Engineering or equivalent
Experience: 3+ years of experience working with Linux OS, compilers and system administration
Language: Fluent E nglish
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
Proficient in Python, shell scripting, or other scripting languages. Experience with C/C++ is a plus
Knowledge of IBM Spectrum LSF or other job schedulers
Experience with system administration, monitoring, logging, and maintenance
Great problem solving and debugging skills
Algorithms and data structure experience
Strong desire to learn more about server farm and EDA software
Capable of interacting with technical and functional teams and communicating challenges and risks
Nice to have:
Knowledge of EDA software
Experience working with containers
Experience with security tools (E.g., system administration, password management )
SQL based database knowledge
As a plus, the candidate could be exposed to:
Development of web systems based on Python and Django
Develop scripts to automate tasks
