Eaton Corporation Ducting Team Leader-3rd Shift in Beltsville, Maryland

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Ducting Team Leader-3rd Shift.

The hours for this role are 10pm-6am

The expected annual salary range for this role is $[[customString1]] - $[[customString3]] a year.

What you’ll do:

Primary Functions:

• Manage production in ducting value stream, including welders, insulators, and test technicians using the production schedule.

• Provide technical assistance with tooling, fixtures, and documentation, and investigate production interrupters.

• Champion safety in production area, such as incident reporting, safety stand-downs, and timely completion of team safety training

• Train employees on safety and quality requirements, production processes, and welding techniques.

• Lead team and escalate interrupters to meet daily key performance indicators, such as gross-utilization, downtime, scrap, and rework

• Coordinate with MEs to update workstation risk assessments and work instructions as needed.

• Lead daily Tier I meeting with team and escalate any issues to Tier II

• Generate maintenance requests as needed and send consumable requests required for production

Qualifications:

Basic Qualification:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Tig-Welding manufacturing processes

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Basic knowledge of lean tools, such as 5s+, visual factory, and 5-Whys.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstration of leadership competencies.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and OSHA regulations

• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis.

• Proficient in the understanding, interpretation, and use of GD&T

• Previous leadership experience and knowledge of MFGPro or other MRP system
