CAMCAR Innovations is a service organization. Our primary service is engineering
which creates the products we license. Our secondary services all focus around making it
easy for licensees to utilize our technology in a consistent manner.
Position Summary:
Our R&D Engineer (RDE) has seven main functions
simulation, prototype, test, manufacturability, and production launch)
Develops ideas for new products
Improves existing products
Develops analytical tools to make it easier to apply our products
Supports product engineering requests of licensees
Creates and maintains standards
Organizes core knowledge to democratize knowledge so that anyone in company can
find what they need without asking for assistance
Position Requirements
● Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering
● At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development or other
comparable practical experience through school projects and internships
● CAD Design Experience with understanding of GD&T
● Understanding of Office Suite software
● Willingness and desire to learn
Nice to Have...Experience
● Manufacturing with metals
● AutoDesk product software (e.g. AutoCAD and Inventor)
● Working with patents
● FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
● Knowledge of the patent process

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
● Ideating from an unmet need to design concepts.
● Conducting analytical studies, including but not limited to the use of FEA tools, on
engineering proposals to develop designs for products.
● Applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and protocols to the
identification of novel solutions.
● Initiating cost reduction proposals and investigating proposals from other sources,
compiling appropriate information, making recommendations for action, and checking on
results obtained.
● Analyzing product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to
determine designs, which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing
facilities and methods.
● Analyzing data and calculation results to determine feasibility and robustness of design
proposals.
● Directing and coordinating manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.
● Planning and developing experimental test programs for products or systems.
● Analyzing test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance
specifications.
● Determining the nature of technical problems and possible solutions, such as product
redesign, substitution of material or processes, or rearrangement of parts or
subassemblies.
● Preparing technical presentations for use by engineering or management/sales
personnel.
● Preparing or directing preparations of product detailed drawings, system layouts, and/or
standards using CAD and other relevant software.
● Acting as a leading resource to others in technology and applications groups.
● Managing multiple or complex projects which may require the use of sophisticated
project planning techniques
● Other duties as assigned by the manager.
